Controversial current affairs analyst, Andrew Mwenda has said that he wants to pick nomination forms from People Power head office in Kamwokya but he is scared.

“I want to run against Bobi Wine but I am scared. If I drove to the Kamwokya People Power office now, I would not come out alive. If I do, take all my inheritance,” Mwenda said while appearing on a local television show this morning.

Mwenda said Bobi Wine is like a ‘god’ in People Power and National Unity Platform but he dares to stand against him. He said People Power have a very high sense of self-righteousness with a huge ego.

“People are reluctant to join People Power cult. It is intolerant. They are locked into a steel pocket. They listen to their egos and voice, and they think that constitutes Uganda,” Mwenda said.

Joel Ssenyonyi, the People Power and NUP spokesperson said Mwenda is welcome to challenge Bobi. However, he accused him of being unproductively too loud.

“Mwenda is intolerant to People Power and NUP because we are a threat to his bread and butter. He is just a bad-mannered chap,” Ssenyonyi said.
