Kampala Central legislator Muhammad Nsereko has urged the opposition not to be carried away by the excitement of government ‘big wigs’ failing in the NRM party primaries that were held yesterday on Friday.

Nsereko says the opposition should now focus on scooping up the NRM contenders who lost out in the primaries and bring them on board.

“We have to agree to work with each other because politics is a trade off. So in places where we don’t have support, we can at least work with other party politicians to get support,” says Nsereko.

He says the opposition should build an alliance aimed at safe guarding their support in the country.

“Over the years, Museveni’s polling numbers have been almost consistent, just rising slightly. However, where he beats us opposition members is his level of preparation,” he explains.

Nsereko claims that Museveni does not have 11 million voters as indicated by the NRM Electoral Commission registers.

“I can assure you that Museveni will not even get 10 million votes,” he says.
