Earlier this week, a one Joseph Nuwashaba was intercepted at parliament’s main gate after a police officer got suspicious of the package he was carrying. Nuwashaba claimed that he was carrying a gift to the Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga.

However, on checking the package he was carrying a human head of a child. Nuwashaba was immediately arrested and taken to Police CID headquarters in Kibuli.

Nuwashaba is being detained at the Police’s Special Investigation Division (SID) in Kireka, Wakiso district where he has been undergoing questioning by both the Police and Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) operatives.

According to the New Vision, Nuwashaba allegedly claimed that he was paid Shs80,000 to deliver the said ‘gift’ to Kadaga.

Charles Twiine, the spokesperson Criminal Investigations Directorate (CID) on Wednesday during a press briefing said the five-year-old Faith Kyamagero, of Masaka city was first defiled before she was beheaded.

According to Twiine, investigations are ongoing to establish all individuals behind the murder and the motive of deciding to deliver the head to the Speaker.
“We are interested in finding out why of all places, he (Nuwashaba) intended to bring the head to Parliament,” Twiine said.
