Joyce Bagala has finally ended  speculations that have been making rounds about her candidature in the forthcoming elections. Bagala has this morning resigned her job as Chief News Editor at NBS TV/Next Media services to participate in elective politics. Dalton Kaweesa is the new Chief News Editor.

Earlier this week, Bagala was approved the flag bearer for the National Unity Platform (NUP) to contest for Mityana Woman Member of Parliament Seat which is currently occupied by ICT Minister Judith Nabakooba.

The 2021 Mityana Woman MP Seat contest between Bagala and minister Nabakooba is going to be the repeat of the 2016 elections where Nabakooba came on top. However in 2016 elections, Bagala raced on a Democratic Party ticket.
