Maybe from an experienced point of view, opposition strongman Dr Kizza Besigye has said that being in opposition in Uganda automatically makes you an enemy of the state. He says what opposition presidential candidates go through to campaign is scary.

The four-time presidential candidate says opposition candidates should normalize wearing bulletproof vess and gas masks to minimize on the risks subjected to them by the security forces.

Besigye’s remarks come a day after photos of Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) presidential candidate Patrick Amuriat Oboi made rounds on social media when he was painfully enduring a huge cloud of teargas yesterday at Nsono Trading Centre, Namayingo District as police blocked his campaign trail.

Amuriat and National Unity Platform (NUP) presidential flag bearer Kyagulanyi Robert Sentamu have continuously tested the wrath of police’s teargas during this on-going campaigning period.

However for Bobi Wine, he decided to don a bulletproof vest for the remaining period of his campaigns.
