Pastor Bugembe tells Bobi Wine to accept defeat and move on

Light the World Church lead Pastor, Wilson Bugembe has advised his ‘friend’ Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine  to accept defeat in the just concluded presidential elections where President Yoweri Museveni was declared winner by the Electoral Commission with 58.64% of the vote against Bobi Wine’s 34.83%.

Bugembe says Bobi deserves respect for putting up such a great performance especially since it was his first shot at the country’s top position.

“The country is at peace and that’s all we want,” said Bugembe during one of the services at his church in Nansana.

Bugembe has consistently come out and declared his support for President Museveni but also says he loves Bobi Wine as a person since they have come a long way with him.

On Friday last week, Bobi Wine addressed his supporters on his various social media platforms where he asked them to reject the results of the presidential election, which he said was undermined by widespread illegalities. 

Bobi Wine said his party has evidence to prove the election was fraudulent, including ballot box stuffing by the military, which he said also ordered people to vote for President Yoweri Museveni on Election Day.

The former Kyadondo East legislator said he’s in discussions with his party for the next move as many have already warned him not to go to court saying they’re undermined by Museveni.
