As the world eagerly awaits to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus on Easter Sunday, Canadian company Gisha Production Inc is making sure the celebrations start early with an online musical show on Good Friday.

The online concert dubbed UG Global, is set to be the first ever virtual concert featuring Ugandan- foreign based artistes from different countries.

Comedian Alex Muhangi, also the CEO of Comedy Stores Uganda and Gisha Inc arts manager for Africa , is the official host of the The UG Global online show.

The line-up so far consists of four performers from UK, Canada and Uganda.

Gisha Inc CEO cum Afro-Folk soul musician Gloria Gift Nankunda leads the pack, that also includes vocalist Brayo Bryans , while UK-based Sarah Ndagire will give the show a true Ugandan traditional touch.

Kampala-based artiste Dre Cali will represent the home based talent.

Bettina Tumuhaise, the Gisha Inc. Brand and Marketing manager defined the lineup as a splendid combination that will definitely offer the ultimate Good Friday entertainment.

“Gloria is gifted to use music to share the Ugandan culture. Brayo Bryans is a multi-talented vocalist that uses his music to touch hearts and souls, inspire and to speak out for the oppressed and speechless.

Sarah Ndagire will bring out the real home touch with her traditional beats.

Dre Cali needs no introduction; he’s the beautiful voice behind the trending hit Ebisooka N’ebisembayo and Ekifuba. Now that’s one hell of a lineup for a ninety minutes show,” Bettina told us.

Bettina also told us that the UG Global show will be a quarterly affair, and called upon all Ugandan artistes in the diaspora to reach out to Gisha Production Inc social media pages, so they are included in the subsequent shows.

“We want to celebrate the Ugandan entertainers and introduce them to other Ugandans in different parts of the world.

We intend to have a UG Global show at the end of every quarter,” she added.

Bettina told us that the UG Global show will be streamed live on Gisha Production Inc, Comedy Store and performers’ individual Facebook and YouTube pages starting 8pm on April 2nd (Good Friday).
