Tycoon Sudhir Ruparelia has another offering for Kampala’s skyline and Uganda’s hospitality sector as Kingdom Kampala Hotel is in the works.

Sudhir revealed yesterday that all will be ready for ground breaking in 2023 and the hotel will be ready by 2026.

Adjacent to the Kingdom Kampala Mall that was opened in 2019, Kingdom Kampala Hotel is set to be an architectural marvel that will borrow the sister mall’s burnt clay brick finish for its exterior.

The hotel will have 200 rooms including suites and penthouses and 35 conference rooms.

According to Sudhir, Kingdom Kampala Hotel will also have 226 “very very high end apartments.”

The Ruparelia Group is the foremost investor in the hospitality sector under the Speke Group of Hotels with establishments like the Commonwealth Resort and Speke Resort Munyonyo that hosted the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in 2007.  Others include Speke Hotel, Kabira Country Club, Speke Apartments Wampewo and Speke Apartments Kitante, to mention.

Sudhir says the build up area of the hotel will be 110,000 square meters.
