“You also travel abroad to solicit money from your foreign funders,” Bebe Cool tells Bobi Wine

Moses Ssali alias Bebe Cool has responded to former presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine’s statement about artistes’ meeting with General Saleh in Gulu.

Bobi Wine accused the leadership of the Musicians Associations of turning the associations into beggars.

In a long FaceBook post, Bobi Wine reminded fellow artistes of how the government had come up with strict and oppressive rules on the artistes industry which required an artiste to submit their lyrics to the Minister of Gender for approval before producing the artistic work.

In response, Bebe Cool has also made a long Facebook post where he accused Bobi Wine of being ignorant and selfish.

According to Bebe Cool, musicians needed to meet Gen Saleh to discuss challenges in the industry and also lobby for funds which have always been channelled through UNCC as he (Bebe Cool) also met General Saleh and the President about the same.

“I therefore want to correct my young brother Bobi Wine on his ignorant post that whatever funds artists get from the general are not hand-outs but rather entitled financial relief,” Bebe Cool said

Bebe thanked General Saleh and artistes for engaging to find the solution to the challenges in the creative arts.

He added that Bobi Wine chose to post negatively targeting Jose Chameleone because he is his direct lifetime music competitor since many musicians have been going to visit the General but Bobi kept quiet.

“Today you travelled to solicit for funds from foreign funders for your personal benefit yet you know they have to get paid back at the cost of Uganda’s peace! Time for politicking ended on 14th January. Ugandans need tangible solutions to their day to day problems,” he said.
