Recently retired bush war Gen Pecos Kutesa is dead. The UPDF spokesperson Flavia Byekwaso has confirmed that Kutesa breathed his last in India, where he had been flown for better treatment. It was reported that the bush-war general was battling kidney complications.

“UPDF fraternity regrets to announce the passing on of Lt Gen Pecos Kutesa that occurred today in India,” Brig Byekwaso tweeted.

Kutesa was one of the 14 generals that were recently retired from the UPDF. He was one of President Museveni’s first Bush War bodyguards and accompanied him several times on treacherous journeys across Lake Victoria and into Kenya in search of arms.
