PARALYMPICS: Uganda’s David Emong wins bronze in Tokyo

Uganda’s David Emong has done it again sfter winning Bronze in the Mens 1500m-T46 race at the on- going Paralympic Games in Tokyo.

The 30-year-old came in third with a personal best of 3:53.51to to claim the bronze. Russian Paralympic Committee’s Aleksandr Laremchuk won the race in 3:52.08 with Bulgaria’s Hristiyan Stoyanov coming second in 3:52.63.

In 2016, Emong was the sole representative for Team Uganda at the Rio Paralympics and he won a silver medal, the first medal in Uganda’s history at the competition.
