Two UPDF soldiers sentenced to death for killing Somali civilians

AMISOM court in Halane camp has sentenced to death two UPDF AMISOM soldiers, who are accused of killing civilians in the Golwayn area of ​​Lower Shabelle.

The trial of five AMISOM soldiers concluded yesterday in Mogadishu. It began this month at the AMISOM Court in Halane. In August, the soldiers were implicated in killing 10 civilians in a battle against Al-Shabaab militants.

According to the court, seven people testified against the suspects, six of whom were Ugandan troops on the ground.
