Police in Wakiso has recovered a one-year-old boy who had been stolen and hidden by the father.

The suspect one Bugabwa Martin stole the child on 17.10.2021 from the mother and upon arrest gave false information to police that he had given the child to a rich man in Mabira for purposes of child sacrifice for a fee amounting to Shs80m.

“However our officers were able to prove that the suspect has never been to Mabira and tracked the child to his sister’s place in Bweya Kajansi,” said Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire.
