Private Amutuhereize was found guilty and court said he would serve his sentence co-currently but he can appeal against the sentence within 14 days from the date of sentence.

Amutuhereize said that he wasn’t sober because he had been attacked by demons before sad the incident and pleaded for a leniency but court said he needed a deterrent sentence to discourage other soldiers from committing such offences, prompting court to order that he’s taken to government prison of Kakiika Prison Kyamugorani to start serving his sentence.
