World Champion Joshua Cheptegei Officially named Uganda’s Tourism Ambassador

World champion record breaker, Joshua Cheptegei has been officially named as Uganda’s tourism ambassador.
The Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) revealed the shining pride of the pearl today following his outstanding triumphs on behalf of the country internationally.


According to a post shared on the UTB social media pages today, Cheptegei will join hands with the tourism sector and Uganda at large to revive the marketing of the country’s tourist attractions and the brand Uganda on an international scene.


 “Official, today we have reached an agreement with World Champion Joshua Cheptegei as our tourism ambassador for brand Uganda,” Uganda Tourism Board posted on their social media platforms.

It should be remembered that Joshua Cheptegei, is a world champion long-distance marathon runner. He recently won the 5,000 meters and 10,000 meters race at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
