Controversial city Lawyer Male Mabirizi has alleged that the Chief Justice, Alfonse Owiny- Dollo together with other five judges went to State House for a tip of Shs6 billion from President Yoweri Museveni that they shared amongst themselves.

While appearing on a local television, Mabirizi said that such development meant that the hearing of Robert Kyagulanyi’s election petition was going to be partial since the Supreme Court had already been compromised.

A week ago, photos of CJ’s official car exiting State House Entebbe circulated on social media attracting mixed reactions but with many questioning why he went to State House at the time when the election petition case was ongoing.

The judiciary came out in statement and said that the top judicial system officials went to State House to witness the swearing in of a newly appointed judge.

Mabirizi says that it’s on such grounds that he decided to file a petition calling for Owiny to recuse himself from the election petition sighting conflict of interest among other things. This week however, court dismissed his case.

Similarly Mabirizi also blames Kyagulanyi’s petition failure on him (Bobi Wine) hiring incompetent lawyers like Medard Sseggona.

“An organised firm can’t make such stupid mistakes. How can you file a petition without facts? Get this from me, a presidential election petition can’t be amended. The law doesn’t allow that,” says Mabilizi.

Court adjourned the hearing of Kyagulanyi’s election petition withdrawal to next week.
