Outspoken Rubaga South Member of Parliament Hon Kato Lubwama has blankly said that he will not miss representing his constituency in the August House as he personally achieved all that he wanted in his five-year tenure.

The outgoing MP confessed that his mission to parliament was to ‘eat’ and indeed he enjoyed every moment while in parliament. He said helping a few people in his constituency was like a give back to the electorate.

When asked about the legacy he has left in Rubaga that will make him be remembered, Lubwama frankly replied; “The people of Rubaga won’t remember me because I did nothing for them.”

While announcing his bid to defend his seat in the January 14 polls, Lubwama openly said that his first term in office was for him to ‘eat’ alone and so the electorate should vote him again so that they ‘eat’ together.

However, he was among the many MPs who did not survive the National Unity Platform (NUP) party wave which swept majority of the elective positions in Kampala in the 2021 general elections as he was trounced by NUP candidate Mukasa Aloysious.
