Is Dance With Valentino on hiatus? Or a break? The much-loved reality dance TV show has been off-air since January, and fans haven’t stopped asking why? And when is it coming back? Well, we had a chat with Valentino Richard Kabenge, the show’s host and one of the Executive Producers and many of those questions were answered.

Is the show returning for season 2?

“Yes,” he says. The cast, crew and production team are on a break preparing for the new season, which debuts on a date he couldn’t disclose. “Plans are already underway for season two, and we’re so excited about it. That’s all I can share for now.”

What is Valentino doing in South Africa?

If you’re an ardent follower of the popular Latin & ballroom dancer, you know he’s in South Africa taking his craft to a new level. Valentino is currently at Kim’s Dance Studio where he’s training hard. “I’m attending daily choreography and dance classes with Kim Lee Isaacs, one of the best Latin & ballroom trainers in South Africa” he shares. Kim is a renowned trainer of international competition winners in South Africa. “That only means one thing – fresh new choreography and exciting full-on energy is coming to Dance With Valentino in season two. It’s gonna be worth the wait.”

“I am having the opportunity to meet and dance with South Africa’s international DanceSport champions and it is been awesome to see how fast, graceful and exciting these dancers are…it is fascinating to learn about the Latin and ballroom dance scene in South Africa and there is a lot to share when I get back to Uganda! ?”

And are we finally catching up on some of our favourite scenes from season one?

“Yes,” he replies emphatically. “We have already watched Winnie Nwagi’s interviews from the show, and they have sparked off lots of conversations. That’s just a small hint of what’s coming,” he says. If you haven’t subscribed to Dance With Valentino’s Facebook, Youtube Twitter and  Instagram, you better do it now, because all the captivating stories and thrilling dance performances are set to be shared on there over the coming weeks”
