Sad news reaching us indicates that Uganda Rugby Cranes veteran and Coach Robert “Soggy” Seguya has been diagnosed with Leukemia after undergoing several tests at Uganda Cancer Institute.

Uganda Rugby Union has started a fundraising campaign to be able to extend financial assistance to the Coach.

Seguya is one of the greatest rugby players to have turned out for Heathens Rugby Club and Rugby Cranes. After calling time on a largely successful career, he shifted his attention to calling the shots on the touchline and currently he has been the Head Coach of Jinja Hippos Rugby Club and Uganda Rugby Cranes.
