Lawyer Male Mabirizi has sued ministers for continuing to occupy their respective offices even after cabinet was dissolved. According to Mabirizi, the ministers are acting illegally and unconstitutionally since their term of office expired on May 12, 2021.

In his suit, he wants Buganda Road Chief Magistrate Miriam Akello to issue arrest warrant against the four ministers. The four ministers named in his suit include; Internal Affairs Minister Gen. Jeje Odongo, Works Minister Gen Katumba Wamala, Ministers for Kampala Betty Amongi and Benna Namugwanya.

Mabirizi alleges that the above ministers have continued to carry out several activities on behalf of government well knowing that their tenure already expired. He adds that they have also addressed the media at Media Centre and introduced themselves as ministers.
