For the first time since her defeat in the speakership race, former Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga has met with National Resistance Movement (NRM) Chairman President Yoweri Museveni and other party Central Executive Committee members.

On Monday this week, Kadaga went against NRM CEC position and the party when she contested for the speakership as an independent against NRM flag bearer in the race Jacob Oulanyah. She however lost with 197 votes against Oulanyah’s 310 votes.

Several bigwigs in the NRM party have been calling for disciplinary action against her.

Yesterday the CEC meeting was held at State House and Kadaga was present. Though reports circulated that the meeting was supposed to discuss her fate in the party, but for now what we have CEC members convened and endorsed 22 names that were sent to the Speaker of Parliament Oulanyah to be considered for Appointments Committee of Parliament.
