Assassinated daughter of outgoing Works Minister Gen. Katumba Wamala, Brenda Nantongo will today be buried in Kikandwa village, off Mukono Mukono- Kayunga road dressed in a wedding gown.

According to Brenda’s mother, Mrs  Catherine Katumba, her daughter will be buried in a wedding gown because she looked forward to a wedding.

“I don’t usually speak at functions but I had committed to speak at Brenda’s wedding and she would say  I would wear a gown of this make and she would say I don’t like a certain make and so we knew exactly what she would wear,” said Mrs Wamala

While speaking at the vigil, Mrs Wamala said she decided that her daughter had to wear a gown even if she is dead.

“Let her wear the gown in a coffin, let us throw this wedding as her last celebration,” said Mrs Wamala

Brenda is going to be buried in a sleeveless and round necked cream American satin gown with white pearls to the chest and a cocktail hat clipped to her hair.

On Tuesday morning four unknown armed assailants riding on two black motorbikes shot at Gen. Katumba Wamala’s vehicle at Kisota Road, Kisasi killing his 32 year old daughter Brenda and his driver.

The general and daughter were heading to his mother in law’s vigil in Najjanakumbi.
