The newly appointed Commander of Land Forces in the Uganda People Defense Forces (UPDF), First Son Lt Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba has come out to address the issue of sickness and death rumours.

Since Saturday evening, fakes news of his father President Yoweri Museveni being ill, dead and airlifted to Germany made rounds on social media. The circulators further claimed that Muhoozi was also battling with COVID-19 and reportedly dead.

State House refuted the claims but the public seemed not contented until Museveni appeared at the launch of World Health Summit Africa that was held yesterday at Munyonyo.

Through his official twitter handle, the former SFC Commander has hit out ‘enemies’ who are wishing him death.

“Some friends of mine like Alan Kasujja told me that some enemies were declaring me dead, or very ill from Covid-19. I’m very well. This is the third time in my military career that enemies are claiming I’m dead. The funny thing is every time they do that Almighty God blesses me more,” Muhoozi said in a tweet.
