Storeyed building in Nansana collapses, kills owner

A three-storey building in Nansana has collapsed killing the woner and injuring the foreman of the construction site.

According to the Kampala Metropolitan Deputy spokesperson Luke Owoyesigyire, the incident happened at Kabulengwa in Nansana Municipality at around 12:48PM.

The deceased who happens to be the owner has been identified as Kawesa Joseph aged 29. His body has been taken to KCCA mortuary, Mulago, for a post mortem.

“Our Fire Prevention and Rescue Services are still at the scene in search for the foreman of the site building, who is believed to still be trapped under the rubble,” said Owoyesigyire.

He added, “More details on the suspected cause of the collapse & victims as soon as investigations are complete.”
