14 people hidden in a cargo truck en route to Mbarara arrested, reveal the driver charged them Shs100k each

Police in Nabbingo along Masaka Road has today afternoon intercepted a motor vehicle (Cargo truck) UBJ 803P. Upon search, 14 people were found inside the vehicle which is contrary to the ministry of health guidelines intended to curb the spread of coronavirus.

Kampala Metropolitan Deputy Spokesperson, Luke Owoyesigyire says that when the officers on duty interrogated the suspects, they informed police that the driver was taking them to Mbarara District and charging them between Shs50 to Shs100k. 

The group is currently detained at Nsangi Police station.
