Unknown people drop coffins along the road leading to Mulago Hospital with a message demanding for resignation of Health Ministry PS Dr Atwine

Unknown people have this morning dropped coffins on Clement hill Road which leads to Mulago Specialised Hospital, with a message demanding resignation of Health Ministry Permanent Secretary, Dr. Diana Atwine.

The placards on the caskets bare different information which is all directed to Dr Atwine.

“Tukooye” which translates as we are tired, “Atwine’s reappointment must be cancelled,” reads one of the placards.

Dr Diana Atwine.

Atwine has continuously been accused of mismanagement of funds meant to address the COVID-19 crisis. The accusers say Atwine has failed to account for funds and items donated to the ministry during the first lockdown in her capacity as the accounting officer of her ministry.
