World champion Joshua Cheptegei has possibly become Uganda’s Greatest Athlete of All Time (G.O.A.T) after winning Olympics gold in the men’s 5000m race in Tokyo, Japan.

As anticipated, Cheptegei commandingly ran the race of his life. He maintained himself in the leading pack all through before taking the deserved lead with two laps to go. He posted 12:58.15.

This becomes his second medal at the on-going Olympics games in Tokyo as he won silver in the 100000m.  He becomes first Ugandan to win two Olympics medals.
