Presidential hopeful Bobi Wine real name Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu has insisted that he’s the duly elected President of Uganda and so the media and the public should get used to introducing him as the President of Uganda.

Bobi Wine said he went for an election and convincingly won but President Museveni and group imposed themselves into office.

“I am the duly elected president of Uganda, I am surprised that you introduced me as NUP President,” said Bobi Wine during an interview on a local TV.

When asked if he will be on the ballot paper in 2026, Bobi Wine termed the question as very irrelevant as he stated that they still have the present to sort out.

“I won the 2021 elections and everyone knows that. So before you talk about 2026, we still have issues to sort out about our victory that was denied to us,” he said.

Justice Simon Mugenyi Byabakama, chairman of the Electoral Commission, declared Museveni the winner of the presidential election on 16 January, stating that he won 59% of the vote, with Bobi Wine taking 35%.
