Jinja Pastor arrested for trafficking 52 children

A total of 52 children have been recovered by the department of anti-human trafficking in persons in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The children had been trafficked by a born-again pastor in Jinja.
Robert Masiiga of Christ the Answer Church in Jinja was arrested by police after 17-year-old female victim reported that she had been defiled by the pastor.


Agnes Igoye, the deputy coordinator against human trafficking in the Ministry of Internal Affairs revealed that, Robert Masiiga of Christ the Answer Church in Jinja was arrested by police after 17-year-old female victim reported that she had been defiled by the pastor and that she was six months pregnant.
The authorities have learnt that the pastor was collecting girls from the districts of Luuka, Tororo and Jinja with promises to look after them.


Igoye further revealed that a total of 52 girls most of them below the age of 15 were found in the pastor’s custody with four of them having been impregnated.
She cautioned parents to be careful with the people
