Twitter was quick to react to the news.

The Uganda Rugby Union tweeted, ‘Very sad news! Mr. Patrick Bakka Male was very supportive in the development of Rugby in King’s College Budo’

Michael Mulindwa quoted what seemed to be one of the educationist’s speeches, ‘The warmer the bed, the colder the future. Rest in Peace comrade,’

The cause of death of the academic juggernaut is yet to be revealed.

However, according to sources close to the fallen titan, he was battling some ailments which are suspected to have led to his death.

Bakka Male has been one of Uganda’s most prominent educationists not only in schools he was headteacher, but in the Ugandan academic sphere on a whole.

Brief background:

He holds a bachelor’s degree in Science with Education, majoring in Physics and Mathematics, a Masters’ degree in Education Administration and Planning.

He taught at Namilyango College for a few months in 1986.
He later in the year went to King’s College Budo where he taught Mathematics and Physics.

In 2002, he was posted to Muntuyera High School-Kitunga.
Between 2004 and 2007, he was transferred to Mengo Senior School as headteacher. In 2008, Male was transferred to King’s College Budo until to date.
