Bugiri Municipality legislator Hon. Asuman Basalirwa has asked government to engage the perpetrators (Allied Democratic Force, ADF) of the recent terror attacks in Uganda.

Shortly after Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja presented a statement on the security situation in the country in the August House, Basalirwa said that since the terrorists are known, it is only prudent and timely that government engages them just like the way it engaged the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA) in the past.

“The attackers are known, why don’t we begin discussing and dialoguing with groups,” said Basalirwa.

For all the terror attacks that have happened in the past few weeks, the government has blamed the ADF for coordinating domestic terror cells.

Meanwhile, Nabbanja called upon the public not to panic but rather be extra vigilant and also assured the house that Uganda will continue to prevail regardless of what happened on Tuesday.

The Prime Minister stated that President Yoweri Museveni will give details in his speech to the nation on Saturday.
