In an exclusive interview with Loukman Ali last week, Matooke Republic was curious to learn more about a teaser poster the director had placed on his Facebook page.

Loukman, went on to intimate in the interview that the poster was about Ddamba, a forthcoming continuation to his widely acclaimed movie, Sixteen Rounds.

On the teaser poster, Loukman announced that an audition call will be coming up for secondary characters.

Yesterday, the filmmaker took to Facebook to unveil the official poster for Ddamba, the forthcoming movie which includes what evidently seem to be lead characters, Michael Wawuuyo and Natasha Sinayobye, both hanging off a single rope in what looks to be a double suicide.

Loukman does not reveal dates for the film’s release but confirms that it is a feature-length film that will be dropping next year, 2022.

In this website’s exclusive with the filmmaker, he revealed that Ddamba will be a feature-length film as he wants to progress from the short films he has been mainly doing. Loukman further emphasized that fans should expect more action.

“It is going to be a feature film, therefore, I guess it is bound to be a little longer. A little bit more action,” he revealed.

Unlike Loukman’s previous movies that have been availed on YouTube to be streamed free of charge, Loukman reveals that his new visual property will only be consumed at a cost.

“It is going to be for paying. So, you should start saving that money. If cinemas are open, it will be availed there. If they are not, it might probably be sold online,” he revealed.

Loukman Ali has been getting media attention due to the stellar quality of his short films and it only gets better for the filmmaker as his movie, The Girl in the Yellow Jumper is going to be the first Ugandan movie to be availed for streaming on Netflix.
