The talent hunt is on at Airtel Uganda, after the telecom giant’s long serving Brand & Communications Head- Remmie Kisakye officially throwing in the towel. According to a highly placed and trusted source, Kisakye’s resignation news came as a shocker to everyone.

According to our source, Kisakye tendered her resignation months back And yesterday, an internal advert was sent out to top Airtel Uganda managers clearly stating that Kisakye had decided to resign, and as such the hunt is on for her replacement.

“Hello team. Remmie Kisakye has decided to explore opportunities outside the organization. The role will be advertised internally and externally.Kindly apply please for those interested,” read the internal message that was sent out.

We have learnt that Kisakye is still working at Airtel Uganda till April 2022. Our sources described Kisakye as a brand guru who is a go-getter, committed, approachable, smart and hardworking.

Kisakye was nicknamed ‘the deal breaker’ by her team, for the many projects she has worked on and ensured Airtel won big. Kisakye is known for her love for red, football, the Buganda Kingdom partnership with Airtel and the K2 deal.

“Get her to turn around a campaign and she will shake up the floor, just like a typical Mukiga,” our source said.

Our reliable source and our several contacts at Airtel Uganda are all still green about Kisakye’s next move. Efforts to reach Kisakye on her phone have been fruitless as she hasn’t answered any of our calls. Our team is busy digging to find out Kisakye’s next move, and we promise to come back with details as soon as we land on any reliable info.
