Several members and supporters of the National Unity Platform (NUP) are nursing injuries from running battles with the police on Tuesday.

Heavily armed security forces are battling the supporters who are lined up along the streets of Kayunga town to welcome Robert Kyagulanyi.

Kyagulanyi is expected in Kayunga to campaign for the party flag bearer, Hon. Nakwedde Harriet Kafeero in the forthcoming by-election for Kayunga LC 5 Chairperson on Thursday.
