The election governing body, the Uganda Electoral Commission, has today started the exercise of displaying the Village Women Residents Register.

The exercise will be conducted for a period of two days; that is, today, and tomorrow, June 24, 2022, at display centres in all villages and cells across the country.

Paul Bukenya, the EC spokesperson, says that the purpose of the display is to enable all the women who registered to confirm that their particulars were correctly captured.
