Body of UK-based Ugandan businessman who drowned in River Nile recovered

The body of a 45-year-old man who drowned in the River Nile at Murchison Falls National park on Wednesday has been recovered.

On Wednesday, UK-based Ugandan businessman Lawrence Kakooza drowned in River Nile while trying to save his son.

Kakooza was with his family on his honeymoon when the tragedy happened.

According to the report filed by a local newspaper, Kakooza’s body was recovered this morning by police officers attached to Pakwach police.

The body was found at Wangkawa, Pakwach town council and it was taken to Pakwach health center.

Kakooza came back to Uganda in July this year from the UK, where he had lived for over 20 years.

On July 30, he was introduced by her longtime lover, Justine Nabwami. They had their wedding earlier this month.
