Video of lecturer slapping student goes viral

Last night, a video of a university lecturer repeatedly slapping a female student surfaced on social media.

The incident reportedly happened at Makerere University.

In the video, the lecturer approached the student who was seated at the back and slapped her twice.

The unnamed student got to her feet and left the lecture hall.

Social media has responded to the incident, with some criticizing the lecturer for treating a university student like a primary school pupil while others have chosen to make fun of the incident.
