Following the President Yoweri Museveni’s New Year’s address requesting   the Ministry of Education and Sports to come up with a detailed plan to prevent and mitigate against traffic congestion in the Kampala Metropolitan area during the re-opening of schools on Monday January 10, 2022, the Education Ministry has released a staggering plan for the learners in boarding section.

The plan is as follows;

A-Level students and boarding pupils in Lower primary in Mpigi and Wakiso district are expected to report on January 10 while O-level students and Upper primary students in the same districts are expected to return on January 12.

The learners are resuming studies after being home for close to two years. Schools were closed in March 2020 as a measure to mitigate the spread of the Coronavirus. The Ministry of Education also said that learners will be promoted the next class.
