Opposition strongman Dr. Kizza Besigye has said that Ugandans must set their own agenda that will enable them to have dominant control of the affairs of their country.

Speaking during an interview on NBS Morning Breeze, Besigye claimed that President Museveni has outpowered Uganda’s Constitution.

“We have no Constitution. The Constitution is Mr. Museveni,” said Besigye.

According to Besigye, the majority of the people are willing to step up and go against the regime.

“Protests will be there without a doubt this year whether I am alive or not. I don’t see how it can be avoided,” Besigye said.

He added, “The population is now moving ahead of us because we have shown some weaknesses in our leadership (Opposition), and we are following them. Those that weren’t appreciative of the dynamics are now appreciative. There’s now great hope that we can rally together.”

Last week, the Red Card Front under the stewardship of Besigye wrote to the National Unity Platform (NUP) and the Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) asking them to join hands in their campaign against the injustices in the country.
