Kilak South Member of Parliament (MP), Gilbert Olanya, has said that as MPs from the Acholi, they are demanding the government to come out clearly and explain the cause of Speaker of Parliament Jacob Oulanyah.

While addressing journalists at parliament this morning, teary Gilbert Olanya said that before burying the late Rt. Hon. Jacob Oulanyah, the government must exclusively explain to the Acholi leaders what is going on with the leaders of Acholi.

The MP alleged that Acholi’s who have obtained big positions in this government have been eliminated.

“The government should tell us clearly if the people of Acholi are not worth owning any key positions in this country so that we can tell our sons who are still remaining to resign.”

Look at how Gen Paul Lokech died and many more other sons of the Acholi region,” said Gilbert Olanya.

Oulanyah was a member of parliament representing the Omoro County constituency, Omoro District, Acholi sub-region, and was also the NRM Vice Chairperson of the northern region.

Meanwhile, President Yoweri Museveni has appointed the Minister for the Presidency, Milly Babalanda, as Chairperson of the committee in charge of the burial of the fallen Speaker and will soon release the burial program.
