The new Deputy Commander of Special Forces Command (SFC), Brig. Gen. Charity Bainababo, assumed her office on Wednesday. She replaces Brig. Gen. David Mugisha, who now heads the 21/C-3 division.

The Commander of Special Forces Command, Brig. Gen. Felix Busizoori, presided over the handover ceremony at SFC headquarters in Entebbe.

Bainababo becomes the first woman to command SFC. Speaking during the ceremony, Bainababo challenged the force to train continually to retain ideology because that is the heart of the SFC.

She added, “We have a duty as a generation to carry the revolution forward.”

SFC Commander Felix Busizoori called on the force to be transparent, emphasize training, and use revolutionary methods of work in the defence of the country and her interests.
