Former Vice President Edward Kiwanuka Ssekandi has offered valuable tips on how he has managed to hold most of the top offices in the country.

Through his known Blue app account, Ssekandi agreed to a proverb that silence is golden. He said that silence has taken him places.

Ssekandi revealed that he never quarreled with the President nor clashed with any minister in the years he has served in the government.

“I am the only person who has served as Speaker of Parliament and Vice President of Uganda for 10 years each. I am currently the Special Envoy to the President under the President’s office,” said Ssekandi.

He added, “I served as the Deputy Speaker of the 6th Parliament, Deputy Chairperson of the Committee of the House, Deputy Chairperson of the Standing Committee of Appointments, and Deputy Chairperson of the Business and Welfare Standing Committee.

I served as President of the African Parliamentary Union. In my silence and quietness, those were my contributions to my nation. NZE SIMALA GOGERA.”

Over the years, Ssekandi has been mocked for his silence and quietness. His photos were used in memes with many reminding the public how is still the Vice President of Uganda.
