We are all aware that handshakes are a common norm when greeting, however, following the outbreak of COVID-19 in 2020, handshakes were replaced by fist bumps, elbow taps, and other greetings to eliminate hand-to-hand contact.

Despite most Ugandans becoming reluctant after the lockdown was lifted, President Yoweri Museveni has been not taking any chances as he keeps his mask on all the time and never allows handshakes. His public way of greeting has been waving.

Also, during the 26th Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Kigali last month, Museveni was the only leader with a mask.
