Commonwealth Games: Winnie Nanyondo qualifies for 1500m final

Uganda’s Winnie Nanyondo has qualified for the Commonwealth Games Women’s 1500 meter final after winning Heat 2 of the semi-finals. She posted at 4:14:04.

At the just concluded World Championships in Oregon, Nanyondo finished 8th in the women’s 1,500m final. She posted 4:01:98 and was awarded Shs19m.

In 2021, she finished 7th after posting 3:59:80 in the women’s 1500m finals at the Tokyo Olympic Games.
