Weekend means having fun, so we have selected events that promise nothing but fun

This weekend is jam-packed with events. But who are we kidding? Every weekend in Uganda is jam-packed with events, and revellers always have a hard time choosing where to go and spend their hard-earned shillings. Matooke Republic has selected a few events we feel will give you value for your money.

B2c Concert

The B2C Soldiers aka Kampala Boys will this evening hold their concert at Freedom City in Namasuba on Entebbe road.

Julian Kanyomozi Boundless concert

Uganda’s sensational songbird and Tooro princess Julian Kanyomozi will be live in concert at the Kampala Serena Hotel this evening.

Tickets to the Juliana Kanyomozi concert go for Shs150,000 Gold, Shs3m platinum for a table of 8 people and they are available from the selected outlets; Kampala Serena Hotel, Positive Emotions Garden City, Soothing Spa Acacia Mall, Swangz Avenue offices and online Via Mookh.com.

Zzina Soshh22

Zzina Soshh is one of the biggest high school turn-up events in the country organised by Galaxy FM. The event will go down on Saturday at Lugogo Hockey Grounds.

HI Skool KIROMO

It’s going down this Saturday at Wonderworld Amusement Park in Kansanga. It is hosted by NBS TV’s MC OLLO.

The Kampala Rolex festival

The Kampala Rolex festival is also happening this Sunday at Lugogo Cricket Oval.

Over the past years, the Rolex festival has been known for bringing together foodies, rolex vendors, friends, and families to enjoy culinary delights, entertainment, great deals from exhibitors as well as networking.

Entry: Ordinary Shs10k, VIP Shs30k

Green Festival

One of the biggest kids’ events, Uganda’s Green Little Hands Go Green will be happening this weekend at Kololo Independence Grounds.

The Green Festival is celebrating a decade of green climate action.

Entry: Children 10k, parents free.

Live Band at Asylum, Sonde

Asylum bar and restaurant is located along Namugongo-Sonde Road just after the Church of Uganda shrine. It has delicious pork roasts, good music, and a live band every Sunday.

It’s free entrance.
