Bobi Wine, together with Nubian Li, were set to hold two concerts in Dubai and Abu Dhabi to raise money for Ugandans stuck in Arab countries. However, authorities in Dubai canceled the charity concerts.

About 3,000 Ugandans are said to be detained in Al Awir Prison in the United Arab Emirates, with the majority of the detainees being girls and facing charges of illegal stay.
