Last Friday, former Entebbe Mayor and Board member Wakiso Land Board Stephen Kabuuye reportedly tried to evict Spenah Beach claiming ownership of the land.

The photos and videos emerged online appearing to show soldiers trying to calm down the situation where a group of civilian men were vandalizing Spenah Entertainment Limited properties and items.

This website has learnt that John Asiimwe, the owner of Spenah Entertainment Ltd reported the matter to Aviation Police.

Available information reveals that the court had ordered arbitration between Spenah Entertainment Limited (owned by Asiimwe who was renting the place), and Kabuuye.

“Court ordered arbitration between the two parties, but Kabuuye, chairman NRM Entebbe ignored it…instead resorted to using force,” a source said.

Background

According to reports, Asiimwe and his company, Spenah Entertainment Ltd, suspended their obligations under the tenancy agreement, claiming that they had been conned by Kabuuye, who is also a board member of Wakiso Land Board.

This was after the calamity where Lake Victoria water levels increased and destroyed the Spenah Entertainment property and business.

Upon suspension of the obligations of both parties to the tenancy agreement, a question of ownership arose. Hence causing conflicts between the two parties.
