Play01 has dropped his most anticipated body of work, the “AURA” album, an album he has been teasing us for almost 5 years, since 2017! “AURA” stands for “A Ugandan Rap Album,” and this should give you an insight already on what’s packed in it! From his own words, he describes it as his most complete body of work so far.

He further goes on to explain that while it’s a “Rap Album,” it’s made to cut through across the board for all listeners; hiphop lovers and the regular listener! He says, “Hiphop in Uganda evolved into Hiphop for Hiphopers. I’ve spent a decent number of years trying to change that narrative, and as of this moment, my pride lies in creating a piece that will be appreciated beyond gender, beyond genre, beyond age; to make it a limitless project NOT for rappers, NOT for artists, NOT for hiphopers, but instead to make rap music for music listeners & lovers.

This will forever be one of my greatest achievements ever! All I asked for was 30, I got 100s, 1000s plus….”
With assistance from Kenneth Mugabi, Adrenalyn Muzik, Vyperanking, Santana Karma, etc, you can best believe that he tapped into the different artists cutting across most of Uganda’s music genres. It’s a 17 long track-list album with each track giving you a different perspective about the Ugandan way of life!

On this album, he is embarking on pushing “Zinge,” a song he did with Adrenalyn Muzik whose music video drops soon!
With that said, we hope that you find this body of work deserving! Any spins will be highly appreciated.
