Police officer knocked dead in Wakiso

The traffic police at Kakiri police station is investigating a fatal accident that claimed the life of a police officer identified as Kadede Sulah.

The incident happened at Busaku village, Namayumba Town Council, along the Kampala-Hoima road in Wakiso district at around 9 pm.

PC Kadede and PC Dramviku had responded to a minor accident at Busaku village involving a motor vehicle (registration number UAV 727G T/MARK 11 Grande) and guard rails.

“As the above motor vehicle was being loaded on the breakdown, a motor vehicle with registration number UAQ 541P T/SPACIO from the Kampala side rammed into them, killing PC Kadede on the spot and seriously injuring PC Dramviku and the driver of the breakdown,” said the police.

Meanwhile, on Thursday, police in Lira City arrested and detained a police driver for knocking dead a traffic officer while on duty.
