Youth Member of Parliament for central region, Agnes Kirabo is facing massive trolls on social media for her submission on the floor of parliament.

On Thursday, parliament amended the Value Added Tax Bill where they approved the imposition of Value Added Tax (VAT) on all adult and children’s diapers.

In her submission before the bill was approved, Agnes Kirabo said, “These adult diapers could be a result of homosexuals. If we do not tax them, we are going to be promoting homosexuality.”

Meanwhile, according to medical experts, the need for adult diapers is not limited to any particular demographic or sexual orientation.

The experts say that adult diapers play a crucial role in improving the quality of life of people who have urinary or faecal incontinence, mobility issues, or other medical conditions that affect their ability to control their bladder or bowel movements.

Ugandans on social media have decided to troll Youth MP Agnes Kirabo for her submission. A section wants MPs to start undergoing interviews before they join parliament.

A one Steven Kabuye said, “It is important to note that there is no scientific evidence to suggest that the use of adult diapers is in any way related to homosexuality. Adult diapers are commonly used by people who have urinary or faecal incontinence, which can be caused by a variety of medical conditions, such as aging, neurological disorders, or physical disabilities.”

Dr Henry Kaweesi tweeted, “Let’s pray your father never gets too old or Benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) or a Brain stroke or paraplegia; that he can no longer control his urinary or faecal outflow; then you’ll learn of the other uses of adult diapers.”
